A massive thank you to Bastien Rojanawisut from Switzerland for the volunteer work he has given over the past 4 ½ months living with Hari and his sister Gyanu in Kathmandu and working with Hari updating his trekking website and the HHCP Nepal website. It has been so greatly appreciated!!! Please have a look at the HHCP Nepal website and let us know your thoughts, all your feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Further deeply felt gratitude to Bastien’s friends who gathered donations and then travelled from Switzerland to donate, raising an incredible $USD6000 which will be put towards the school library/resource centre in Jibajibe High School. Thank you thank you thank you!! They also brought clothing for distribution at remote Ghormu Village. What an incredible example of young humanitarians.
Bastien & Chris then set about raising further funds whilst in Nepal and set up a T-Shirt selling campaign over the net. They managed to raise a further 1,759 Euros for their library/resource centre project.
Many thanks to Angélique Kiwi (France) who volunteered for 3 weeks to help out with websites, Leanne Patison (Australia), Andrea Asselin (France) and Marie Dupanloup (France) who collated clothing, oral care products and gifts to distribute at remote villages throughout Rasuwa. And last but certainly not least a huge thank you to Palm Lake Retirement Village Craft Group (Australia) who knitted over 40kg of blankets, hats & baby clothing for distribution, and also raised funds to purchase goats for a family. Harikrishna and the rural people of Rasuwa are so grateful for the generosity and care of so many from around the globe!!
